His ancestor, the emperor of the French, Napoleon First, his brother, king Jerome of Westphalia which is his direct grandfather, Jerome de Witt inherited the passion of the clock industry . Any sound illustrates family collected the watches... the emperor himself, his brothers, but also his/her sisters, and among them, Caroline Murat who was one of most incredible collectionneuses and patrons of her time since it was the first woman to finance the creation of a watch bracelet!
